Data we collect

  • Contact form: name, email, optional property name, preferred timing, selected audit type, and message content
  • Email or phone enquiries: details you choose to share
  • Engagement files: outlet records, POS exports, and related documents needed to perform a hospitality revenue audit (processed under the engagement letter)
  • Technical data: essential cookies and, if accepted, limited analytics cookies (see our cookies page)

We do not ask for payment card numbers through this website.

We use enquiry data to respond to scoping requests and to prepare proposals. We use engagement data to deliver contracted audit work. Where Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance applies, we process data for purposes directly related to those functions and with your consent where required for optional analytics.

Retention

Enquiry messages are typically retained for up to 24 months after the last correspondence unless a longer period is needed for an active proposal. Engagement working papers follow the retention period in the engagement letter (commonly seven years for professional records). Analytics cookie data, if enabled, follows the durations in the cookies table.

Sharing

We may share data with IT or professional service providers who host email or store files under confidentiality obligations, and with authorities when required by law. We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Servers or processors may be located outside Hong Kong. Where transfers occur, we take reasonable steps to keep data protected consistent with this notice and applicable law.

Your rights

Subject to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and other applicable law, you may request access to or correction of personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email info@smartappconnect.digital. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong.

Children

This site is aimed at hospitality businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this notice by posting a revised version with a new date.
